Effective prescription treatments for acne and breakouts
Overview
Gilbert & Johnson Pharmacy provides a range of prescription acne treatments available through our private prescribing service. Our treatments include topical creams and gels from leading brands, suitable for mild to moderate acne.
What is Acne?
Acne is a common skin condition that causes spots, oily skin and sometimes skin that's hot or painful to touch. It typically affects teenagers and young adults, though it can occur at any age. Acne appears on the face, back and chest. While not dangerous, it can leave scars and affect self-confidence. Our prescription treatments can help clear acne and prevent scarring.
Types of Acne Spots
Blackheads & Whiteheads
Small blocked pores on the surface of the skin
Papules & Pustules
Small red bumps, some with pus at the top
Nodules
Large hard lumps under the skin that can be painful
Cysts
Large pus-filled lumps that carry the highest risk of scarring
